Pork and Apple Sausages Rolls 🐖

Sausage rolls are great for summer picnics! 🧺

Now that Eli is a busy toddler, he’s always on the move and prefers to eat while playing or snacking on the go—these are perfect for that.

I wouldn’t call sausage rolls a “health food,” but they can be a helpful option for picky eating days—an easy way to get in some protein and iron when meals are a bit tricky.

Ingredients

  • 4 chipolata sausages (skins removed)

  • 1/2 pack puffed pastry

  • 1/2 apple grated ( I left the skin on)

  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp thyme

Method

  • Mix sausages, apple, breadcrumbs and thyme together.

  • Roll out puff pastry and add the mixture to one end of the pastry. Roll pastry and seal edges. Cut into sausage rolls (I made 10).

  • Brush with milk and poppy seeds (optional)

  • I cooked mine in the airfryer at 190c for 12 mins.

  • I cooked them on both sides for 4 minutes each and then covered them and cooked them for a further 4 minutes.

I froze half of them. The other half were enjoyed on picnics.
