Pork and Apple Sausages Rolls 🐖
Sausage rolls are great for summer picnics! 🧺
Now that Eli is a busy toddler, he’s always on the move and prefers to eat while playing or snacking on the go—these are perfect for that.
I wouldn’t call sausage rolls a “health food,” but they can be a helpful option for picky eating days—an easy way to get in some protein and iron when meals are a bit tricky.
Ingredients
4 chipolata sausages (skins removed)
1/2 pack puffed pastry
1/2 apple grated ( I left the skin on)
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
1 tsp thyme
Method
Mix sausages, apple, breadcrumbs and thyme together.
Roll out puff pastry and add the mixture to one end of the pastry. Roll pastry and seal edges. Cut into sausage rolls (I made 10).
Brush with milk and poppy seeds (optional)
I cooked mine in the airfryer at 190c for 12 mins.
I cooked them on both sides for 4 minutes each and then covered them and cooked them for a further 4 minutes.
I froze half of them. The other half were enjoyed on picnics.
