Helping children thrive at all stages and ages
I’m Sophie, a paediatric dietitian and mother, passionate about supporting families with practical, evidence-based nutrition care.
With 10 years of NHS experience in nutrition roles, I have supported both children and adults through complex and often life-changing dietary challenges.
I specialise in supporting children with complex dietary needs across a range of specialist areas. I have expertise across paediatric food allergy, oncology, cardiology and renal care, most recently working as a Band 7 renal dietitian managing complex cases within a tertiary children’s hospital. I have also developed and led paediatric dietetic services across South Wales.
I’m particularly passionate about infant feeding and multiple food allergies—a critical period for growth and development where timely support can have a lasting impact. My background as a trained chef gives me a strong understanding of food, flavour, and recipe adaptation when supporting specialist dietary needs.
At the heart of my work is a practical, compassionate, and family-centred approach tailored to everyday life.

Why work with a dietitian?
Dietitians are uniquely trained to provide personalised, evidence-based nutritional advice. As regulated professionals, we are held to strict standards of practice and ethics, so you can feel confident that the guidance you receive is safe, credible, and grounded in the latest clinical evidence.
How I can help
Parenting is a journey filled with both joy and worry. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when advice comes from every direction—social media, friends, and family—often leaving more questions than answers. You may be navigating an allergy diagnosis, starting weaning, or simply wondering if things are “normal.” Common concerns I hear from parents include: Is my child eating enough? Why are they so picky with food? Could this be a food allergy? If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place.
I also understand this personally. When my son developed a milk intolerance following a gastroenteritis illness, I spent weeks removing dairy, reading labels, adapting meals, and feeling anxious about eating out or knowing what was safe. It gave me a real insight into how stressful and isolating dietary exclusion can be.
As a dedicated paediatric dietitian, I support families through all aspects of feeding from the earliest stages of life. I understand how challenging mealtimes can feel, and my aim is to make feeding feel calmer and more manageable.
My goal is to help turn mealtimes from a source of stress into moments of confidence, connection, and enjoyment. I provide clear guidance tailored to your child and family, so you feel supported and confident in your decisions.
I offer personalised support across a range of feeding challenges, including:
Infant feeding
Food allergies and intolerances
Fussy eating and food aversions
Weaning support and allergy-friendly recipe adaptation (including 1:1 cooking sessions)
No matter the challenge, my approach is grounded in compassion, understanding, and evidence-based nutrition.
