Mini Plum and Almond Cakes 🍑

These little cakes are delicious 😍

Adding fruit to cakes can be a great way to help children become more familiar with fruit.

Almonds provide healthy fats, protein, fibre, vitamin E, and calcium.

These cakes contain only a small amount of added sugar — just 1 tbsp of honey across 12 cakes.

Ingredients (12 mini cakes)

  • 4 plums cut into quarters

  • 20g flakes almonds, slightly chopped

  • 1 egg

  • 50g wholemeal flour

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 20g melted butter

  • 40mls whole milk

  • 1 tbsp honey

Method

  • Grease mini cake tins.

  • Add a 1/4 of a plum and a sprinkle of almonds to each cake tin.

  • Mix the egg, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, melted butter, milk and honey in a bowl.

  • Add cake batter to each cake tin.

  • Bake in the oven (190c) for 12 mins.
